IT'S BACK!!!!! Just in time for Christmas...... This is a brand new volume carries on from where volume 1 ended.... We plan to make a whole series of these compilation albums that Detour Records is bringing you in with conjunction with The Glory Boy Mod Radio show. The radio show is hosted by the one and only Alan May who keeps all his listeners bang up to date with a real cross section of Mod / powerpop / 60s retro bands while not forgetting the past and mixes some well known names with new bands.
Hopefully Alan has done it again with this new volume and has brought some of these new bands more attention and go onto bigger and better things. The majority of bands would struggle in getting airplay as they are coming from the grass roots up and not some manufactured crap from dreadful TV shows....
Alan May has compiled twenty three bands to feature on this volume, all of which has received many spins on his show throughout the last few months.
Sleeves notes by the Adrian Holder of The Moment.
Once again, All bands / labels have donated their tracks free of charge and a proportion of the profits will be split between two charities that Detour and Alan May have proposed…. Future volumes may have other charities nominated by listeners of the Glory Boy Radio Show…
So here goes, as Alan says Shake it easy….

Customer ratings for V/A - The Glory Boy Mod Radio Showcase Vol. 2 CD (NEW)
Originally I was less sure about this than Vol 1 but it continues to grow on me. It takes the same concept of mainly current-ish bands with a range of mod-related influences. This time mentions for The Rising, Gary Bynorth (with Big Weller vocal influence), Transmitters full of weekend optimism and The Bassics sounding full of 79 angst and Sons of Morning channelling Yarbirds / John Mayall and 70s pub rock style RnB from Anonymous on 13/04/2018
Another great showcase of new bands from Anonymous on 08/04/2017
Alan May and Dizzy have linked up again to deliver another fine compilation of hard-working new bands. It's so important that this style of good music is kept alive and this compilation offers listeners a good chance to hear what is on offer. The only downside is the inclusion of some older tracks which many buyers probably already have - a very minor point. All-in-all a great purchase!
Another excellent compilation from Anonymous on 28/01/2017
