Thee MOOT have established themselves In the modern day as one of the finest four-piece guitar bands on the current circuit, it goes without saying all four members of the band bring something really special which has developed creating a magical power pop modernist sound.
For those of you who are new to Thee MOOT You will not be surprised to know that the band have morphed from 80s modsters The Onlookers which becomes apparent when you listen to the music that they produce with wonderful melodic songs. The songwriting and vocal enrichment from Stone is nothing short of genius, and when mixed With the first-class skills and talents from Clark, Leech and Pinch, you get a perfect ensemble creating brilliant music.
Over the years the band have released some wonderful tracks and it's very exciting having a new 7 inch release from Detour Records. Now both tracks are melodic with jangling guitar riffs - you could almost be mistaken to think you were listening to a top 10 song from the mid to late 1960s. Lyrically punchy and engaging, they could have been from the stable of legendary songwriters like Ray Davies! with a 21st century twist.
I’ve been a fan of the band for many years and loved their discography , but this new material is absolutely fantastic and takes the band to another level, which fans are going to love 100%, and without doubt will be reaching for the repeat button, its infectious! There’s no MOOT with this quality release!
