The Amber Squads first new vinyl release in over 4 decades, the autobiographical, aptly titled “After all these years” catches the band in a sentimental mood. With it’s catchy classic Paul Fairey guitar refrain intro’, reminiscent lyrics, and an outro’ namechecking and recalling some memorable places, characters and events back in the day, the sound is unashamedly nostalgic.
The discerning listener may also spot a cheeky reference to the very first Amber Squad single released in 1980! Backed with “Keep my company”, an old, previously unrecorded song with a punchy guitar riff and lyrics recalling an awkward boss/employee relationship.
Both tracks were recorded at Parlour Studios in Kettering and were engineered and mixed by Neil Haynes
