BOOM! Here is the next release in our highly collectable Picture Disc series...

This is one of those bands who released one immensely rare and obscure, but totally classic single but who then in a blink of an eye were gone. It was released on a small label called 'Rainbow Sound' after the studio where the band recorded the tracks in 1980.

I first became aware of this powerpop classic in the late 80s when a friend of mine picked up a copy at a record fair. After hearing it I knew I needed a copy and a couple of years later I managed to find one. Fast forward to the early 90s when I started up Detour Records - I knew I had to re-issue it to let all the collectors worldwide know about this release as in my opinion it is on same par with 'Fast Cars', 'The Letters', 'Incredible Kidda Band', 'Last Stand' and 'In The Gym' etc. So with this in mind, we set about finding the band but this was a real struggle as there were no band members names on the sleeve or any other info, but in 2000 we had a lucky break and I managed to track down the guy who took the photo shoot for the single and who agreed to send us all the photographs from the session. He was able to give us the singers name, so after some more detective work I managed to speak to the singer who was also the writer of the two tracks. After several telephone conversations he gave us his blessing to re-issue this release... the rest, as they say, is history.
