DETOUR RECORDS ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THEIR LATEST RELEASE ON THE ‘PAISLEY ARCHIVE’ LABEL. THIS IS WHERE IT ALL STARTED FOR MARK LE GALLEZ! LIVING IN GUERNSEY IN THE CHANNEL ISLES IN THE EARLY 80S WAS NO FUN. MONEY WAS TIGHT AND IT WAS CULTURALLY BEHIND WHAT WAS HAPPENING IN MAIN LAND BRITAIN. PUNK WAS DEAD AND THE MOD REVIVAL SCENE WAS IN FULL SWING; AS IT SWEPT ACROSS THE COUNTRY MARK WANTED TO BE PART OF IT SO HE IDENTIFIED HIMSELF WITH THE SCENE AND THE LOVE FOR 60S BEAT & SOUL MUSIC. AFTER THE BREAK UP OF HIS FIRST BAND ‘SINGLE FILE’, MARK WAS BANDLESS SO HE GOT IN TOUCH WITH HIS TRUSTY FRIEND COLIN LEACH AND ENTERED THE LOCAL STUDIO TO LAY DOWN SOME NEW SONGS. THEY WERE ONLY MEANT TO BE DEMOS BUT THE STUDIO LOVED IT SO MUCH THEY RELEASED THE TRACKS AS A MINI ALBUM. SIX OUTSTANDING TRACKS THAT OOZED MOD IN EVERYWAY, MUSIC, CLOTHES AND ABOVE ALL... ATTITUDE. THIS CD RELEASE GIVES YOU THE ORIGINAL SIX TRACKS FROM 1984 MINI ALBUM PLUS 11 OUTSTANDING LIVE TRACKS AS THE RISK FROM THE RARE “OUT AND ABOUT” CASSETTE THAT WERE RECORDED AT THE FAMOUS ‘100 CLUB’ IN LONDON & ‘THE FRITZ CLUB’ THAT TOOK PLACE IN AUSTRIA.
