The psychedelic express that is The Studio ’68! & Dani Turner rolls back into town in spectacular style this week with the release of brand new single ‘Need A Miracle’, taken from their forthcoming long player, ROLLIN’.

A gilt-edged rock’n’soul anthem, ‘Need A Miracle” fuses a relentless four-to—the-floor Northern Soul groove with a tune worthy of peak-era Rolling Stones, the song sent stratospheric by the extraordinary vocals of powerhouse lead singer Dani Turner.

As powerful as P.P Arnold and as raunchy as namesake Tina, Turner’s diamonds-on-sandpaper delivery on ‘Need A Miracle’ announces the arrival of a one-in-a-generation talent - her performance echo-ing the larynx-busting majesty of Merry Clayton’s vocals on The Stones’ ‘Gimme Shelter’.

A lacerating lyrical examination of the pop process -’Need a Miracle’ was inspired by cult flick ‘Stardust’ - and the stories of every musician who has seen their dreams destroyed by the fame game.

“Need A Miracle’ is a cautionary tale for anyone thinking about entering this weird and wonderful business,” says band spokesman Paul Moody.

“It’s a tribute to every band who have ever fallen foul of the music biz— an aural ragu for a revenge dish served cold.”

Produced by Brian O’Shaughnesey (Primal Scream/Rumer) at the iconic Bark Studio in Walthamstow, ‘Need A Miracle’ is backed on a digital single by the sublime -and equally powerful- ’Time Slips Through Your Hands’ -arguably the best song Julie Driscoll and Brian Auger never wrote.
