LAST BASTION RECORDS.
'Making music matter' and not just another record label!

Created during UK 'Covid' lockdown 2020, 'Last Bastion Records' is up and running as a new truely indie label managed and owned by Andy Bellwood, located in North Yorkshire's National Park adding a new and unique dimension to the rural economy. The 'office' is a converted donkey stable.

The roots and influences of the label can be traced back to 'The Last Bastion' venue 43 years ago was re visited with an  embryonic idea from Denise (Mrs Bellwood) which Andy developed into a record company in conjunction with Dizzy Holmes at Detour Records.

The intention is to release three to four 45s per year. Each will come with an informative  picture sleeve, limited to 300 with no repress. 

The criteria is previously unreleased on 45 and in some cases not on any vinyl format or completely unreleased in any media  and 'soulful' (as opposed to 'Soul'). Hence the 45s will be diverse and eceletic across the 'soulful' genres hopefully making the Last Bastion Record label unique in its identity.
